UPCOMING PROJECT

POWERING PROGRESS, SUSTAINABLE ENERGY AND COMMUNITY IMPACT

1. LET THERE BE LIGHT!

  • Empowering Women’s Enterprises with Solar Solutions

At the SasToma Empowerment Foundation, we believe that true community transformation requires tackling the root challenges of infrastructure, economic stability, and educational equity. To drive sustainable development across our communities, we have rolled out targeted interventions focused on clean energy, clean water, and celebrating youth achievement.

Chronic electricity challenges in Nigeria often force women-led small businesses to stall, limiting their income and growth. To change this, we provide reliable solar power solutions for our women entrepreneurs. By keeping their businesses illuminated and operational, we are fostering economic independence, boosting productivity, and driving sustainable livelihoods (SDG 8 & SDG 7).

  • Illuminating Academic Brilliance

Excellence deserves to be celebrated. As part of our commitment to quality education and youth development, winners of our creative academic competitions are awarded solar lighting systems for their schools. This ensures that brilliant young minds have reliable light to study, read, and pursue their dreams long after sunset, bridging the gap between hard work and a conducive learning environment (SDG 4 & SDG 7).

2. DRINK AND LIVE!

  • Clean Water Access Through Rural Boreholes

Access to safe, clean water remains a critical challenge for many rural areas. We will bridge this gap by installing boreholes directly within rural communities. This vital infrastructure saves hours of daily travel, improves community health, and ensures families have reliable access to life-giving water (SDG 6 & SDG 3).

  • Revive Reading Culture: Reignite deep engagement with literature beyond rote learning.
  •  Strengthen Language Proficiency: Improve spoken and written communication skills in English and indigenous languages.
  • Discover and Nurture Talent by Identifying young writers, performers, and thinkers early.
  • Promote Indigenous Languages & Culture
  • Reinforce identity through multilingual literary expression.
  • Elevate Academic Competitions by Positioning intellectual excellence as prestigious and rewarding.
  • Develop Future Leaders: Integrate leadership training, ethics, and social awareness.

3. Unique Value Proposition

  • Unlike traditional academic contests, this initiative:
  • Uses a reality TV format to drive engagement
  • Integrates entertainment + education (edutainment model)
  • Offers high-value rewards comparable to entertainment shows
  • Embeds SDG-driven themes into creative expression
  • Promotes pan-African collaboration
